  • Enterprise Estonia product development master class

Client: Enterprise Estonia

We are carrying out a development programme for exporting manufacturing companies, in collaboration with Enterprise Estonia. The aim of the programme is to help companies create new competitive product solutions and innovative business models. The development programme includes training sessions, company visits and implementing development projects under the supervision of coaches.

Our role: preparing the development programme, conducting sales, coordinating the work of trainers and coaches, programme management.

  • Enterprise Estonia base training for new entrepreneurs

Client: Enterprise Estonia

We are conducting a substantial training programme for new entrepreneurs, in collaboration with Enterprise Estonia. The training programme deals with business model development. We will carry out 29 training sessions in all 15 counties in Estonia, and talk to 600 new entrepreneurs about starting a business.

Our role: preparing the training programme, coordinating the work of trainers, managing the programme.

  • Smart-up Georgia collaboration project between Estonia and Georgia

Client: a cooperation project initiated by BDA Consulting and 15 Georgian universities. The project is funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The project involves a nationwide entrepreneurship competition, in which we will collect the innovative business ideas of Georgian youths and use training sessions and mentoring to provide the teams with initial skills and experience to develop and carry out their business ideas.

Our role: elaboration of the project concept and execution of the project.

  • Competition for Estonia’s Best Mobile Application 2014

Client: Estonian Information System Authority (RIA)

The Estonian Information System Authority organises a biannual competition to determine the best mobile applications recently created in Estonia. The aim of the competition is to introduce innovative and useful mobile applications and to acknowledge their creators.

Our role: development of the competition concept, project management, project information distribution in cooperation with KPMS and Partners.

  • TSU School of Entrepreneurship Estonian-Georgian cooperation project

Client: a cooperation project initiated by BDA Consulting with Tbilisi State University. The project is funded by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The aim of the project is to improve the entrepreneurial awareness of the students of Tbilisi State University, and to encourage them to become entrepreneurs through an inspiring and competitive programme. Over the course of the project we have carried out an inspiration seminar and training programme, along with a study trip to Estonia.

Our role: development of the project concept and execution of the project.

  • Competition for Estonia’s best e-service 2013

Client: Estonian Information System Authority (RIA)

The Estonian Information System Authority arranges a biannual competition to determine the best new Estonian e-services of recent years. The aim of the competition is to introduce and acknowledge innovative Estonian e-services and their clients and producers in the public and private sectors, and to motivate service providers to keep developing useful new solutions.

Our role: project management, execution of project information activities in cooperation with KPMS and Partners, conducting the inspiration seminar, coordinating the selection process of winners, etc.

  • StartSmart! Estonian-Finnish entrepreneurship programme

Client: a cooperation project among BDA Consulting, Enterprise Estonia (EAS), the Estonian Development Fund, Aalto University (Finland) and Technopolis Ülemiste AS. The project is funded by Interreg IV A Programme.

The goal of the project is to facilitate the creation of innovative and internationally competitive start-up companies. In order to achieve this goal, we are arranging a number of seminars and conferences for people in Estonia and Finland who are interested in entrepreneurship, in which we will introduce start-up success stories and invite expert speakers and opinion leaders in the start-up field to give talks. In addition, the project aims to foster cooperation between the people of Estonia and Finland and organisations involved in the development of start-up companies.

  • Ajujaht entrepreneurship competition 2007–2012

Client: Enterprise Estonia

The Ajujaht contest is Estonia’s most prominent entrepreneurship contest, and aims to gather innovative business ideas from young people and help them proceed from ideas to creating and launching their own enterprises through development programmes and mentoring. We were in charge of arranging the contest from its birth in 2007 until spring 2012. During that time we inspired over 6,000 young people, gathered and analysed over 2,500 business ideas and trained over 1,000 people in total.

Our role: development of the contest concept and format, project management.

  • Citizen union national funding rearrangement programme

Client: Ministry of Internal Affairs

The aim of the programme for rearranging the national funding of citizen unions was to create a unified system for the national funding of citizen unions and to strengthen civil society. The programme consisted of three major activities: the formulation of uniform funding principles, the development of guideline materials together with sample documents; and the arrangement of training for the implementation of those guideline materials.

Our role: planning and carrying out the programme activities, coordinating the compilation of guideline materials, conducting the meetings of the working group.

  • Administrative management for the Estonian Logistics Cluster

Client: Estonian Logistics and Transit Association

The Estonian Logistics Cluster is a joint project that focuses on the international marketing of its members, the promotion of Estonia’s logistic advantages in target markets, product development that encompasses available resources, logistics-related educational issues, and the cooperation of companies in the field of information technology. The Logistics Cluster development project received financial aid from the Enterprise Estonia cluster development programme.

Our role: BDA’s role was to support the team of the Logistics Cluster in the project’s financial management, accounting and document management, and in compiling the project’s reporting to Enterprise Estonia.

  • Best practices for Integration and Migration Foundation

Client: Integration and Migration Foundation Meie inimesed (Our people)

The goal of the project is to support and offer input for the new national integration plan and for the elaboration of its implementation programme. The know-how in the integration sphere has been obtained from development seminars in Ida-Virumaa and south east Estonia, and from a study trip to the Czech Republic.

Our role: compilation of the programme, project management, arrangement of activities, involving experts.

  • Tourism destination management development programme

Client: Enterprise Estonia

In 2012, Enterprise Estonia commissioned BDA Consulting OÜ, in cooperation with a consultancy partner from UK, to conduct a development programme for tourism destination management, which involved training modules for approximately 60 people totalling 96 academic hours, and a 5-day study trip to Slovenia. Guideline materials for destination management were compiled as a result of the project.

Our role: training project management, coordinating the compilation of the training programme, preparing guideline materials in cooperation with external experts.

  • Cluster manager training programme

Client: Enterprise Estonia

The goal of the project was to provide cluster managers with the knowledge and skills to analyse their common ideas and prepare the cooperation projects necessary for strategic cooperation. The training programme consisted of three modules and a study trip. The programme was carried out in cooperation with foreign partners.

  • Accelerated internationalisation of Tehnopol’s customer enterprises

Client: Tallinn Science Park Tehnopol

We conducted a training programme that involved the following topics: presentation of the company; from funding opportunities to sales; and the role of the manager in an evolving organisation. We provided consultations on tactical plans and action plans, and also organised study trips to San Jose, California; Paris, France; Bulgaria and Romania.
